Pick both dates and read “Total days”. By default the end date is not counted, so 1 January to 31 January is 30 days. Turn on “include the end date” to count 31 days.
It counts weekdays (Monday to Friday). Public holidays differ by country and are not removed, so subtract them yourself if they apply.
Months have different lengths, so the years-months-days span counts whole calendar months first and then the days left over. Total days is always the plain number of days.
No. If the end date is earlier than the start date the tool reads them in reverse and tells you so, so you never get a negative result.
